I spent a lot of my rural North Carolina childhood training to be a girl detective. Due to a certain aversion to being in danger, however, I had to seek alternative uses for having developed a keen eye for detail, a skill for reading between the lines, an understanding of human motivation, the energy for good research, and a penchant for great mystery.

 

So I’m a writer. Although, in true freelance style, I’ve worn many hats—publicist, copywriter, copyeditor, content-developer, marketing consultant, proof-reader, educator, discussion facilitator, workshop leader, yoga instructor, actor, voice over artist, director, producer, photographer’s assistant, administrator—no matter what I’m up to, knowing how to work with story has been central.
